Alissa M. Irons, O.D.​

Dr. Irons was raised in Belen, New Mexico and graduated from Belen High School in 1990. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from New Mexico State University in 1994. Dr. Irons received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2000. Dr. Irons was awarded Southern College of Optometry’s Clinician of the Year in 1999.

Dr. Irons is licensed in therapeutic and diagnostic drugs and is a member of the New Mexico Optometric Association. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and IDOC! Network of primary eye care providers. Dr. Irons also hold licenses to practice in Colorado and Texas. 
 
Dr. Irons and her staff pride themselves in superb customer service and a thorough and comprehensive eye examination. Our state-of-the-art examination includes glaucoma screening, dilated exam for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and neurological testing. We also provide pediatric eye exams starting at the age of one, LASIK consultations, and vision therapy.

Dr. Irons is proud to be a native New Mexican. She is married to Eric Irons and together they have four children, Adam, Justice, Mason and Hannah Grace. In addition to providing the best eye care for her patients, Dr. Irons enjoys spending her weekends with her family.
